What our programme participants say...

Programme: Osu Children's Home
Name: Irene Yartey
Country: Maine, USA
Subject: Hello - Osu Children's Home

Dear Michael,

It's Irene here. I got to Ghana safely last week and started at the Osu Children's Home this week. I have spoken to Donna a couple of times but Have not been able to meet her yet. A woman at the orphanage, Agnes, showed me the Pre School they have and introduced me to one of the mothers as well. So What we decided on was this: I'd be helping out at the preschool on Mondays And Tuesdays then on Wednesdays and Thursdays I'd go to one of the houses (House 2) to help the older children with their homework and other things they may need help with. So far everything is going pretty well. I haven't met the principal yet. As I told you, I have a suitcase of clothes and some school supplies for the kids but I am not sure who to give it to so I haven't given it out yet.

Yeah, I think that's basically it. I just wanted to update you and let you know what's going on.

Thanks
Irene.
